Now, when someone says, “whip up,” I know I often roll my eyes and think, “Sure! If you’re Martha Stewart. (“Is it sugar? Is it flour? How do I know?”) So, I decided to whip up some labels in Silhouette Studio. I decided that my glass sugar and flour jars needed some label action of their own…one wants to protect against baking blunders at all costs.

Now that I have a Silhouette, I’m starting to realize that it’s like one big label maker of its own, full of labeling potential. Scissors and tape dispensers and boxes of markers are much less likely to “walk off” when boldly labeled with my last name, and even if they do, they often find their way back home. Yes, I’m a dork type A, an oldest sibling, a perfectionist…all of those personality traits that point straight to label-loving. I am one of those people for whom it is one of life’s big thrills to label things.
